Program Support Assistant

Administratively represents the HBPC-H/HHA programs and serves as a liaison for the Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) service to all other services of the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (BPVAHCS), affiliations, and to the general public. Provides a full range of office and administrative functions related to the planning and operations of the HBPC and H/HHA Programs, and in support of each program's fiscal responsibilities, goals, guidelines and monitoring requirements. Provides administrative and technical support to the program director and all other HBPC staff. Instructs and provides assistance on office procedures and VA regulations, to include training in the operations of computer programs. Plans, develops and coordinates all administrative functions essential to program implementation and the delivery of services including initiation of corrective action. Exercises appropriate independent judgment for incoming emergency requests from field clinicians, patients, and caregivers. Assists the Program Director in the coordination of services to HBPC clients. Manages the HBPC Information System, collecting data, submitting reports, and correcting errors. Assists the HBPC Program Director in analyzing data and developing means of utilizing the data to improve program performance and efficiency. Refers patients to community agencies to provide homemaker/home health aide services. Ensures that proper administrative procedures are understood and followed by vendors and home care staff. Provides assistance and consultation to home health care agencies involved in the H/HHA Program regarding the timely submission of invoices, cost for H/HHA services, billing issues, duration of services, and need for quarterly summaries. Ensures that proper administrative procedures are understood and followed by vendors and home care staff. Assists in budget projections, prepares financial reports, maintains statistical data, and submits required monthly and quarterly reports. Assists in responses to requests for special information about the HBPC and H/HHA Programs, and receives and processes referrals. Processes admissions, discharges, and processes orders from both programs, and monitors patients' appointments. Assists with contacting Physicians during emergencies, and arranging travel as needed. Provides technical assistance in revising program policies, and devises tools for data collection to assist with program evaluation. Coordinates the assignment of GSA cars to HBPC staff. Submits vehicle costs on a monthly basis. Prepares reimbursement claims for staff monthly. Performs timekeeping duties for the HBPC staff through the electronic timekeeping system. Work Schedule:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
