Part Time Medical Assistant (Podiatry)
Applicant must have at least one year medical assistant experience, preferably in a podiatry office setting.
Applicant must possess the ability to:
-Multi-task and run multiple physician schedules with help of other medical assistants
-Room patients and obtain information necessary for physician to treat patient
-Take vitals and record in EHR system, update medications in EHR, dictate phone conversations and treatments in EHR
-Prepare patient for procedures
-Schedule surgeries
-Stock treatment rooms weekly
-Return patient phone calls
-Perform dressing changes
-Preferable experience in dealing with casting and dispensing of Diabetic Shoes/Inserts
-Experience in taking podiatry specific Xrays is a plus
-Knowledge and Experience in dispensing Durable Medical Equipment including having patient sign the appropriate paperwork
-Insurance knowledge
-Set Up MRIs, CT, Physical Therapy, and any other service doctor orders
-Applicant must posses strong computer skills and medical charting skills as we are transitioning into EHR
-Ability to take pictures of patient wounds, etc
-Nail Debridement Skills
-Applicant must be a self starter and able to work in a team environment
This is a part time position offering approximately 20-24 hours per week, 4 days per week. Potential to turn into a full time position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
